How does Calipri-Wheel work
Measuring is easy: the user simply moves the sensor along the railway wheel by hand. The intelligent measurement system, which is based on image processing techniques, continually records and subsequently combines the individual segments of the wheel profile. Distance and angle of the sensor with respect to the measured object need not be kept exactly constant. Calipri-Wheel suppor ts the user during the measurement process by continually providing acoustic feedback on the correct positioning of the sensor relative to the wheel.
